My underwater camera broke... again.

If I had the cash to spare I'd buy a new digital underwater camera but I haven't so with no spare parts I'm repairing the lock.

There's way too much pressure exerted on this small bit of plastic when opening and closing the water proof housing. I know that because it broke, twice. They give you an extra one with the camera but not much help when it snaps too.

So after gluing the clean break with an astoundingly strong glue that held up (much to my surprise) to the component being snapped back into place, I mix up 10mm of Milliput

The Mighty Milliput. I love this stuff.

Looks like a blob of chewing gum.

OK let's slap it on. There's no way this sucker's gonna snap on me again. OK so it's a bit of a mess, but once it's set I'll sand it down and may even paint it black... But we are really talking function over style here. And yes the hinge does turn fine.

After the first working over with a bit of wet & dry.
