Project Black PC (part 5)
Sorry about the dull name.

This is the component that started the whole idea of "beefing-up" this old PC. Uncle Nemesis saw this in a skip at work and decided it would be just the sort of thing I'd like... How well he knows me. It had three 240volt AC 120mm fans in when he gave it to me. I'm not sure if I want to keep the original fans in it but I did get a fourth 240volt fan on ebay just in case. I'll will do a photoshop mockup near to completion and see if four green LED fans look OTT or not.

It would have had six fans in originally but at some point someone has taken a hacksaw to the bottom divider for some reason (they didn't do a very neat job). I have bolted it to the side panel to serve as a guide for cutting.

The plan is...
The plan is...Make a frame for the bottom wide opening just to add interest and neaten the hole. There will be a window in this opening made of green acrylic sheet (possibly bubbled out). There will be a surround of the same green acrylic sheet between the fan shroud and the panel, this will be lit by either LED's or fiber optics so the edge glows.

This arrived today. It's a Yorkshire Pudding Tin. It will be mounted on the top panel with green acrylic sheet sandwiched between. Its purpose will become apparent later.

I dug out my riveter last night, only to find a mandrel jammed in it. I carefully undid the screw in the back and the inevitable happened... With a "PING!" all the bits sprang out the back all over the floor. My cat thought this was an excellent game and pushed a few bits under the fridge.
